Student Supports
Learn how to locate students, open Student Files, create and manage Behavior Supports, enter student data, and manage Student Groups.
The Student Supports page is the primary workspace for student-based Behavior Supports in Behavior Advantage. From this page, you can search for students, open Student Files, create and manage Behavior Supports, enter student data, create new students, and manage Student Groups.
The table displays all active students assigned to the school(s) or Student Group(s) you have permission to access.
Finding a StudentUse the search fields and filters at the top of the page to quickly locate students.
You can search by:
- First Name
- Last Name
Or use the filters to narrow the list by:
- School
- Student Group
- Grade Level
- Active or Archived student status
These search fields and filters can be used individually or combined to quickly locate specific students.
Click Search after entering your search criteria.
Student Supports TableThe Student Supports table displays:
- Student Name
- School
- Grade Level
- Student Group(s)
- Last Data
Student Groups displays the Student Group(s) the student belongs to. Student Groups are used to manage Group Access permissions and simplify enrollment into Group Trackers.
Last Data displays the date data was most recently entered for one of the student's Behavior Supports, allowing staff to quickly identify students with recent or overdue progress monitoring.
Opening a Student FileClick a student's First Name or Last Name to open their Student File.
Student File Organization
Each Student File is organized into three folders:
Student Info
View and manage student information, contacts, notes, attachments, Student Groups, and other student-specific information.
Behavior Supports
View, edit, print, and manage the student's existing Behavior Supports, including Trackers, Simple BIPs, FBA with BIPs, and Behavior Emergency Reports (BERs).
Data & Graphs
Create new or access existing Tracker and Frequency/Duration Data Tools, enter student data, and view progress graphs over time.
Click Enter Data to go directly to the student's Data & Graphs folder.
From there, you can:
- Select an existing Tracker or Frequency/Duration Data Tool to enter data.
- View student graphs and progress over time.
- Start a new Tracker or Frequency/Duration Data Tool if one does not already exist.
Click Create New Student in the upper-right corner to add a new student to Behavior Advantage.
Complete the required student information and click Save.
Student Group ManagementClick Student Group Management to create and manage Student Groups used for Group Access permissions and Group Tracker enrollment.

Can't Find a Student?If a student does not appear in the Student Supports list, consider the following:
- The student has not yet been created.
- The student is assigned to a school you do not have permission to access.
- Your account uses Group Access, and the student has not been assigned to one of your Student Groups.
- The student's file has been archived.
Viewing Archived Students
To search archived student files:
- Change the Active filter to Archived.
- Click Search.
- Click the student's name to open their Student File.
- Click Unarchive Student from the Student Info folder to restore the student to the active Student Supports list.
